At peak, over 7,500 sites out of power totalling 50% of Osceola County's population
Osceola along with numerous other counties Declared Local State of Emergencies to ensure maximum resources to the response - although not included in the Governor's most recent State declaration, an additional request has been submitted.
Occurred 11 days shy from the start of last year's historic Northern Michigan Ice Storm marking 2 significant Ice Storm Disaster Events.
This event was Osceola County's 4th major winter storm / ice event this season requiring activation of it's Incident Management System
